Central Park is fun to enjoy during any time of the year. Rent a bike, ride a horse, take pictures of the stunning scenery, play catch on the lawn and read about historical figures on their statue's plaques. The large park is open to the public and is taken care of by Central Park Conservancy.
Feel the wind whip around your head at the top of the Empire State Building. The views from this 102-story building are phenomenal, especially at night. If you're visiting during the winter, bring a heavy coat as the air is freezing. You can also look at the indoor artwork to learn about the history of New York City and the Empire State Building.
Right by Little Neck Bay, Fort Totten Park gives you wonderful views of the water, particularly during sunrise or sunset. The park is quiet and peaceful, so bring a loved one to enjoy the serenity of the area. There's also a military base nearby.
Some of the best exhibits to see during your visit to the New York Aquarium include "Spineless," "Sea Cliffs" and "Ocean Wonders: Sharks!" Each of the tanks are creative and filled with marvelous animals. You can also book a wild encounter to get up close to your favorite animals.
